----Elections and town meeting day for Peacham, VT is currently schedule for March 3, 2009 at 10 A.M. at the Peacham Congregational Church---
This year, the ballot contains 20 articles mainly focusing on electing new town officials as well as managing the budget for the 2009 fiscal year.
The first 14 articles pertain to the election of town officials. Number one on the ballot is the election of a new town moderator, who will govern and and conduct town meetings. Among this, the other positions include:
- Town Auditors
- Town Clerk
- Town Treasurer
- Tax Collector
- Selectboard Member
- Lister
- Auditor
- Grand Juror
- Town Agent
- First Constable
In addition, there will be a vote deciding where the funds would go should the town have a surplus of funds for the 2009 season.
Finally, the voters will appropriate funds raised by taxes to 16 different organizations, all of which are tied into the community of Peacham.
